Fleur de Sel Sweet & Spicy Popcorn

Yes, popcorn. It make not be the fanciest thing in the world, but it makes one heck of a snack. Also, when you make this for your next movie night, your guests will be SUPER impressed.

Tidal Salt Fleur de Sel Sweet & Spicy Popcorn

1/8 cup butter

1/8 cup vegetable oil

¾ cup popcorn kernels

2 Table spoons brown sugar

1 Table spoon hot sauce of your choice – I used sriracha

Tidal Salt Fleur de Sel to taste

In heavy bottomed frying pan that has a lid – Heat oil, butter, sugar, and hot sauce over medium heat.  When the mixture is nice and hot and the sugar is bubbling, add your corn kernels. Keep the kernels moving in the pan by shaking it back and forth so they don’t burn and they get evenly coated in the mixture.  Once the first kernels pop, put the lid over the sauce pan and continue to shake the pan over the burner.  Once popping slows to a pop every 3-4 seconds, remove from heat. Immediately season with Fleur de Sel while still hot. Dig In!!
